weekend.

This weekend was most definitely a good one. One I've been dreading/looking forward to for a while, if that makes any sense. 

Saturday was one of my best friends farewell parties. Bryce was called to serve in a patch of little islands off the coast of Africa. Crazy I know. 

Me and these babes made Bryce this cute cake (:

It was fun being at his house because Bryce is pretty much friends with everyone, so there were a bunch of people there that I haven't seen since we graduated a couple months ago. There were also some people that graduated a year ago that were there and it was fun to catch up with them.

His actual farewell talk was today, and it was the best one I've heard in a while. He talked about gratitude but I loved it because he made it so personal. It really made me realize how much I have to be grateful for every single day and that if I'm not happy then I'm doing something wrong because the Lord has given us everything we need and more to be happy in this life. Ah man. I'm gonna miss that kid a lot. But I know he's doing the right thing, and he is gonna be beyond amazing out there. 

Also, today was this kids 18th bday (:

Really I don't even know what I would do without Austin right now. He really was there for me at a crucial point and I can't thank him enough for that. He is really one of the funniest people I know and my best friend. I don't even know what I'm gonna do at college without him. But anyways, happy birthday Austin, I'm glad I got to spend some of it with you!

And last but not least. Kaden is home!!

I worked Saturday day shift at durangos and at about 3 he came rolling in and I was so happy to see him I really could have cried haha. Turns out a week is a long time! We gotta hangout tonight and you better believe that some Cheetah Girls, Hannah Montana, midnight Alberto's runs and hilarious moments were all apart of that (: so glad he's home! 

Oh by the way I get to cross another item off my unofficial summer bucket list! Saturday night me and Haylee got together with Kalli and Andy and Pat who I haven't seen in forever and went ice blocking! Tons of fun, just a little painful (; also illegal, turns out. Haha who knew going down the golf course hills at a high speed at midnight on a block of ice wasn't encouraged?!

Anyways it's been quite the weekend, so glad I got to spend it with people I love!
