nerd.

So this is gonna be the most pointless post yet. I wouldn't blame ya if you didn't read past this point, because I probably wouldn't and that's saying something because this is my blog.

But today was a big day for me. Because of the following:

About a week ago I ordered something online. My mother asked what I ordered and I told her a t shirt and she asked how much. I told her twenty dollars and she asked me to please tell her I didn't spend twenty dollars on a t shirt BUT I DID. And I LIKED it.

It came. The t shirt came and I am so in love.

                   There she is :')

Basically I'm a huge nerd that really doesn't do much more than google mayday parade lyrics and drive around the lake blasting any and every mayday parade song ever created while singing at the top of my lungs. You could say it's my thing.

But I just can't help it, best lyric award goes to mayday parade.

If this interests any of my like two blog readers (hey mom) which I'm sure it doesn't, then here's a list of my favorite songs by them. Hahaha it's baffling how stupid this post is turning out to be.

Anyways:

-Without the bitter the sweet isn't as sweet.
-You be the anchor that keeps my feet on the ground, I'll be the wings that keep your heart in the clouds. (Oh yeah, they're also known for their ridiculously long song titles that don't really have anything to do with the songs)
-Miserable at best (can't beat the classics)
-I'd hate to be you when people find out what this song is really about
-Your song (has to be acoustic)
-the last something that meant anything
-terrible things (listen to the words and cry)
-Stay

Okay, I really do apologize about this post. I think I got most of my burning desire to blog about mayday since I got a blog out of my system.

Have a lovely day (:

weekend.

This weekend was most definitely a good one. One I've been dreading/looking forward to for a while, if that makes any sense.

Saturday was one of my best friends farewell parties. Bryce was called to serve in a patch of little islands off the coast of Africa. Crazy I know.

Me and these babes made Bryce this cute cake (:

It was fun being at his house because Bryce is pretty much friends with everyone, so there were a bunch of people there that I haven't seen since we graduated a couple months ago. There were also some people that graduated a year ago that were there and it was fun to catch up with them.

Look, he loved his cake (:

His actual farewell talk was today, and it was the best one I've heard in a while. He talked about gratitude but I loved it because he made it so personal. It really made me realize how much I have to be grateful for every single day and that if I'm not happy then I'm doing something wrong because the Lord has given us everything we need and more to be happy in this life. Ah man. I'm gonna miss that kid a lot. But I know he's doing the right thing, and he is gonna be beyond amazing out there.

Also, today was this kids 18th bday (:

Really I don't even know what I would do without Austin right now. He really was there for me at a crucial point and I can't thank him enough for that. He is really one of the funniest people I know and my best friend. I don't even know what I'm gonna do at college without him. But anyways, happy birthday Austin, I'm glad I got to spend some of it with you!

And last but not least. Kaden is home!!

I worked Saturday day shift at durangos and at about 3 he came rolling in and I was so happy to see him I really could have cried haha. Turns out a week is a long time! We gotta hangout tonight and you better believe that some Cheetah Girls, Hannah Montana, midnight Alberto's runs and hilarious moments were all apart of that (: so glad he's home!

Oh by the way I get to cross another item off my unofficial summer bucket list! Saturday night me and Haylee got together with Kalli and Andy and Pat who I haven't seen in forever and went ice blocking! Tons of fun, just a little painful (; also illegal, turns out. Haha who knew going down the golf course hills at a high speed at midnight on a block of ice wasn't encouraged?!

Anyways it's been quite the weekend, so glad I got to spend it with people I love!

bamboozled.

This morning when I woke up I had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself in to. It was my day off so me and bff Haylee wanted to do something fun and adventurous. I guess it's not too early to say be careful what you wish for.

We both have a tube and we love to go to the lake and river and just float. We thought we'd go up to Springdale and float down the river then go to Blondies and eat lunch. Seems harmless enough, right? Yeah well wrong.

We got up to Springdale and realized we had no idea where we were going. So unbelievably typical. When we finally found the river, it was a little on the brown side. Like if I had to compare it to something, it would definitely be Willy Wonka's chocolate river. But like browner. Apparently rain does that to rivers, who even knew. We still wanted to float on our tubes though so we decided we'd just go eat and then find somewhere else to float.

We rolled into Blondies and walked in. It was alarmingly close to one million degrees in there, but we got seated anyways. It was super endearing because our waitress was an extremely tired mother, and you could tell she was just having one of those days. How could we tell you may be wondering? Oh just because she was carrying her baby, snot dripping nose and all, around on her hip while she carried our food to us. A health inspector would have had a freaking hay day. My personal favorite part of the meal was when we looked over and saw her feeding the baby the remnants of our shakes. Classic.

After lunch we brainstormed about where we could go. We decided on Kolob reservoir. Haylee had a little less than a quarter tank of gas, but we figured we could make it, especially since Haylee kept insisting that she knew for a fact there was a gas station up there. I couldn't recall ever seeing such a thing, but she was so sure that I just went with it. We got up to the lake and actually did have a lot of fun.

This was taken when we still had some hope for the day. We had no idea what was coming.

It was perfect for about an hour, then we decided it was time to go.

The road we took to get to where we were was really smooth, even though it was dirt, so we figured it would be fine to keep going around the lake on the same road. We were fine for about a mile and then we came up on some mud. It wasn't too bad and with a little navigation we were able to make it through fine. We came up on another rough patch, a little sketchier than the first. Then we came up on this camp of about 25 boys, all about our age. All so attractive.

This is basically when it went bad. Long story short, the road got so bad that we decided we should turn around and go back the other way. We got turned around after about a half an hour of me carefully guiding Haylee out while standing in a hill of fire ants. But when we were almost out, the tire slid and we got stuck. We tried to get out for a while but we realized we were gonna need some help.

Long story short, we had to walk back to the camp of hotties and get them to pull us out, while simultaneously stopping every car that passed us so they could gawk.

The guy in the blue shirt there was really such a gem.

This picture doesn't do it justice, but the car is actually hanging off about a ten foot cliff. I had to climb out the drivers side to get out.

This picture cracks me up because this guy literally had no idea what was going on, but he was so nice and such a champ. A for effort.

They finally got us hooked up to chains and pulled us out with one of the guys trucks and we left. Then we had to stop at another camp and they gave us gas because again, we are disastrous fails and ran out completely.

Moral of this whole story: me and Haylee are so beyond stupid. But people are so beyond kind and helpful. There was really nothing we could do to besides say thank you, but karma has some good things in store for those people that were so helpful.

Today was a disaster, but it was actually hilarious in a way and one I will never forget!

paddlin'

Today I got to cross an item off of my unofficial summer bucket list..paddle boarding (:

Basically it was perfect and I'm investing in a paddle board of my own because I loved it that much!

summer nights.

Can I just say I am so grateful for my best friend? I have had so much fun with him this summer, and he's really helped me through a tough time.

Last night with him was so spontaneous and fun.

We were gonna watch a movie, but we couldn't find it so we were driving around looking for something to do. He suggested we go out to the lake and cliff jump. It was like 9:30 and kinda dark but we just went anyways!

The lake as we were getting there, so pretty!

Right before we jumped in, so much fun! Also sidenote: We look freakin drugged up but no worries, it was just the flash (:

Mostly I'm just happy I get to spend so much time with him before I move to college soon. He's really made this summer so fun (:

life in montana.

Want me to define perfect? Here goes nothing.

A week in a beautiful cabin with my family, best friend, and favorite cousins with this as the view off your balcony.

Seeing amazing things like this moose everyday. Wanna see a bald eagle? No worries, they just fly over the river like it's nothing all day.

Getting to do this for a few miles up the river to the ice cream shop every single day. Not a bad routine if you ask me (: Also side note. You would not believe how hard I ate crap right after this picture was taken.

The fact that Haylee got to come with only made this week that much better.

So yeah, I guess you could say that would be my definition of perfect.

kissin' cousins.

Okay I'm just gonna start by saying the title of this post is such a joke and stop freaking out. But I'm also gonna say that although it's a joke for me, I can't speak for everyone. There's nothing quite like a Bundy, after all.

If I had to choose one picture to describe the annual Bundy Family Reunion, it would be this one:

It would be this one because this is literally what you do out there. Nothing. You pick a chair at the start of the day and that chair becomes your best friend. You carry it with you from event to event and sit in the dirt on your butt all day. And that's how it goes.

Speaking of events, there is plenty to do out there. Just nothing I am particularly interested in. I just don't come from a family of die hard Bundy's, meaning I didn't get a lasso and a set of horseshoes for my graduation present, if you can believe it.

We did take quite the drive (15 minutes my butt) up to the lookout.

It was breezy and beautiful and I loved it. A nice escape from actual Bundyville for a couple hours.

We found this so cute nest of little baby birds while we were walking back to the car. Their little chirps melted my heart.

Highlight of the whole event, you may be wondering?

My little baby cousin Savannah had me so wrapped around her finger. Cutest little girl in the world.

I'll tell you what the highlight wasn't. The bathroom situation. There's a few lovely outhouses out on Mount Trumble, situated in the most poppin places in camp. It was great because you get to grab your roll of toilet paper from camp and walk to the bathroom right past everyone. It's charming because everyone knows right where you're headed. The walk of shame is actually the easy part. Once you're there, you're left wishing you would have taken a pit stop in a bush along the way instead. To say the absolute bare minimum, it stinks. Like the can't breathe through your nose because you'll throw up, but can't breathe through your mouth because you'll taste it kind of stink. Needless to say, I went a total of 2 times.

At least the outhouse had dandelions painted on it though.

So I guess that's my experience of the Bundy in a nutshell. Don't get me wrong, it was fun and I'm glad I went. But 24 hours was enough for me.

happy 4th.

Wanna know what I absolutely love?

-fireworks
-lightening and thunder storms
-old friends
-laying on my roof
-laughing
and
-the feeling of being completely content

Today was a solid day because I got to do and feel every single one of those things.

I'm currently laying on my roof, listening to the thunder way off in the distance, and watching the lightening over the hill. And for once in Hurricane in July, it's not over 110 degrees. Perks of being up at 1:30 in the morning I suppose.
This is what my street looks like at such a lovely hour.

Before I found myself on the roof, I found myself with friends that I haven't seen in a while. And it was so nice. We talked about old times and made new times we could talk about in the future.

We burned up 30 sparklers in about 5 minutes, but I loved it. My favorite thing about this picture? We all look genuinely happy.

Days like today. They're what life's all about.

Happy Birthday America.

say it.

I think we've all established that I think life is going way too fast. Way too fast for my liking.

So fast, in fact, that I think people should know exactly what we feel about them.

If you love someone, say it.

If you miss someone, say it.

If you messed up and you're sorry, say it.

And I'm gonna admit it. I'm a hypocrite. I miss my best friend more than I care to admit to anybody, and they wouldn't know it. I should probably practice what I preach but sometimes that can get complicated.

I plan on making things end on a better note. I don't know if it's in my best interest to fix things, but we both deserve to have things end better than they did.

I guess the moral of this post is to say what you think and mean it.

But there's one more important thing.

If you don't mean it, never ever say it.

I think that's very important.
